Single-girder cranes usually refer to single-girder bridge cranes. The main girders of electric overhead traveling crane bridges mostly use I-shaped steel or a combined section of steel and steel plates. Lifting trolleys are often assembled with chain hoists, electric hoists or hoists as lifting mechanism components.

Underhung bridge cranes are widely used in machinery manufacturing workshops, metallurgical workshops, petroleum, petrochemical, ports, railways, civil aviation, power stations, papermaking, building materials, electronics and other industries, such as workshops, warehouses, stockyards, etc. It has the advantages of compact size, low building headroom, light weight, and small wheel pressure.
Selection of top running crane
First of all, it complies with the relevant regulations of GB/T14406-1993 and GB5905-86 for general-purpose gantry cranes. Under normal circumstances, the lifting capacity is less than 50t, the span is less than 35m, and there is no special requirement for use. It is advisable to choose a single-girder bridge crane. If the door leg width is required to be large, the working speed is high, or heavy and long parts are frequently lifted, a double-girder gantry crane should be selected. And the top running overhead crane is a crane that suspends and fixes the beam on the walking track (I-beam) of the building. The installation position and span of the running track can be freely set, which is most suitable for production lines and the like.

before work


a. For single-girder bridge cranes with a cab, the driver should check the hooks, wire ropes, safety devices and other components according to the requirements of the spot check card before taking over and driving. If any abnormalities are found, they should be ruled out.
b. For the top running bridge crane operated on the ground, each shift should have a special person responsible for checking according to the requirements of the check card, and if any abnormal situation is found, it should be ruled out.
c. The operator must turn off the main power supply only after confirming that there is no one on the walking platform or track. When there is a lock or notice board on the power circuit breaker, the main power supply should be closed only after the original relevant person removes it.
at work
a. When lifting a heavy object for the first time in each shift (or when the load reaches the maximum weight), the heavy object should be lowered after the height of 0.5 meters from the ground, and the brake performance should be checked to confirm that it is reliable before normal operation.
b. Strictly implement the system of “ten don’t hang up”:
① The command signal is unclear or the command is disorderly;
② Do not hoist when the rated lifting capacity is exceeded;
③ Unreasonable use of the spreader or the hanging of the object is not firm;
④ If there are people on the hanging object or other floating objects, do not hang it;
⑤The brake or other braking safety devices fail to hang;
⑥ Do not hang heavy objects on the crane when they are directly processed;
⑦ Pulling crookedly and hanging obliquely;
⑧ Do not hang explosive objects;
⑨The objects buried in the ground shall not be lifted up;
⑩ Objects with edges and corners, do not hang them if they are not properly padded;
c. If any abnormality is found, stop the machine immediately, cut off the power supply, check the cause and eliminate it in time.
After work
a. Raise the hook to a certain height, park the cart at the designated position, and place the controller handle at the “zero” position; pull down the knife switch and cut off the power supply.
b. Carry out routine maintenance.
c. Do a good job in handing over shifts.
