A rail mounted gantry crane (RMG) is a type of gantry crane. Its metal structure is similar to a gantry, with two legs installed under the main beam, allowing it to walk directly on the track on the ground. There can be overhanging cantilever beams at both ends of the main beam. Gantry cranes on rails (RMG) are manufactured to individual customer requirements and are available in a variety of different stacking heights and spans.

RMG cranes are uniquely mounted on rails, which allows them to move horizontally along a predetermined path. This orbital mobility provides superior precision and stability, allowing them to handle heavy loads with ease. The ability to move along rails provides precise container positioning and reduces the risk of accidents.

Rail mounted gantry cranes are used for outdoor yard, yard cargo, and bulk cargo loading and unloading operations. Gantry cranes on rails have the characteristics of high utilization rate, wide operating range, wide adaptability, and strong versatility, and have been widely used in port cargo yards.

Container Terminals: The RMG crane is ideal for efficient container handling at busy container terminals, helping to streamline operations and increase productivity.

Intermodal Facilities: RMG is ideally suited to handle containers in intermodal facilities where containers are transferred between different modes of transport such as rail, road and sea.

Logistics Center: Its efficient container handling capabilities make it an excellent choice for logistics centers that need to manage a large number of containers every day.

Industrial Facilities: RMG cranes can be customized to meet the specific requirements of a variety of industrial facilities, providing reliable and efficient container handling solutions.

Rail mounted gantry cranes are powerful material handling machines that play a key role in various industries, especially in container terminals, ports and intermodal facilities. These cranes are designed to move heavy-duty containers and other materials efficiently, providing essential support to logistics and transportation networks.
