Double Girder Overhead Cranes introduction

Double girder overhead crane is a widely used lifting equipment in modern industry. It is mainly composed of two main beams, electric trolley, end beam, electrical control system and other safety devices. According to different working levels, the crane can be divided into multiple working levels from A3 to A7, and the operation methods include multiple options such as  pendant control, remote control and cabin operation.

Application:
Double girder overhead crane is widely used in workshops, maintenance workshops, warehouses, shipyards, docks, steel mills, military and other places. The working environment temperature range is -20℃ to +40℃. It is forbidden to use in flammable, explosive and highly corrosive environments. When equipped with an electric grab as a sling, it can be used for loading and unloading and transporting bulk materials. It is not suitable to work in an environment with explosion and fire hazards, nor in places with high humidity and full of acid and alkali gases. It cannot be used to transport molten metal, toxic substances and flammable and explosive items.

Mechanical parts

  • Main beam: It adopts welded box beam, which meets the national standard for camber and is made of high-quality carbon steel Q235B or Q345B (similar to Fe37 or Fe52). The main weld adopts submerged arc automatic welding and non-destructive testing to ensure the welding quality.
  • Trolley: It consists of motor, reducer, brake, coupling, wheel and roller. The brake system uses asbestos-free brake pads and brake blocks, which are safe and reliable to install.
  • Reducer: It adopts hard tooth surface design, compact and durable structure.
  • End beam: It is equipped with track buffer and track gap device to enhance safety and stability.
  • Protection level: The overall protection level of the crane is IP54 or IP44, and the insulation level is F level to ensure electrical safety.
  • Braking system: The braking is effective and has a long service life to ensure stable operation of the equipment.

Protective devices

  • Rainproof device: Outdoor cranes are equipped with lifting mechanisms, electrical control boxes and rainproof devices to ensure the normal operation of the equipment in bad weather.
  • Safety limit device: Set up trolley travel limit devices and anti-collision devices to increase operational safety.
  • Alarm system: Equipped with sound and light alarm devices to improve safety warning effects.

Technology
The main welding seam adopts submerged arc automatic welding, non-destructive flaw detection, and the shape is beautiful to ensure the welding quality.
End beam material: high quality alloy steel Q345B.
The end beam is welded and formed by rectangular steel pipe or steel plate, and the formed end beam is positioned and processed on a CNC boring and milling machine at one time to ensure dimensional accuracy and fit tolerance.
The lifting trolley has a modular design, and the working level is FEM M4-M6. The entire lifting trolley has a compact structure, low headroom and light weight.

The main girder of the crane is welded by steel plates, and the steel plate materials meet the international crane production standards. The main steel structure materials we use are not lower than Q235B, and the materials used have material reports and corresponding qualification certificates.
There are buffer blocks at both ends of the end beam to reduce the impact force of the collision and reduce the impact inertia. The beam body of the whole machine adopts shot blasting and painting process according to the world standard.
The running track of the trolley is made of square steel to increase the effective contact area of the wheel tread and reduce the weight of the track. The material of the square steel track is Q345B.
The operation room is operated by a linkage table, and is equipped with a remote control at the same time. Through the switch, it can be operated by remote control or switched between operations during operation. Lighting and seats are installed indoors, and the entrance of the operating room is end-entry, which conforms to European and international standards.
