Rail Mounted Container Gantry Cranes (RMG) are designed and manufactured in accordance with national and industry standards (e.g. GB/T3811 “Crane Design Code” and GB/T14406 “General Purpose Gantry Cranes”).

U-type gantry cranes are widely used in open areas such as heavy cargo in large tonnage terminals and ship cargo handling, transportation and forecourt stacking operations in container berths.

The crane adopts crawler chassis and double cantilever design, the gantry frame adopts U-type supporting leg structure, the upper part of the crane can be rotated, and the container spreader adopts electric telescopic spreader.

Components

1.Gantry: Gantry is the main part of the crane, which consists of main beam, supporting leg, end beam, lower beam, cab, traveling platform, railing, ladder and other auxiliary metal structures. It has enough strength, rigidity and stability, and the main parts are equipped with lifting lugs and lifting holes to facilitate lifting operations.

2. Lifting trolley: the lifting trolley includes trolley frame, lifting mechanism and trolley running mechanism. The frame of the trolley adopts box-shaped welding structure, and is equipped with integrated trolley canopy. Safety devices include stopper, rail cleaner, buffer and operation limiter. The lifting mechanism is equipped with a lifting weight limiter, a weight display function and various safety protection interlock switches. The diameter and material of the wheels are selected according to the maximum support of the wheels under the most unfavorable conditions to ensure that the wheels are not overloaded.

3. Trolley operating mechanism: The cart operating mechanism consists of a traveling support device, a driving device and a safety device. The traveling mechanism is designed to ensure equal wheel pressure for each wheel under the same support leg. The trolley adopts articulated balance beam structure to ensure that the force of each running wheel is uniform. The driving device drives only one driving wheel without open gear transmission. Safety devices include windproof anchoring devices, track cleaners and polyurethane buffers. An axle breakage protection device is installed between every two running wheels.

4. Mobile cab: The mobile cab can be directly attached to the trolley and moved together with it by means of a special rigid support to avoid collision with the stack and spreader. The cab adopts closed tempered glass, which has a good view, comfortable and beautiful, and considers the comfort of the driver in the operation process.

5. Crane power supply and trolley feeding mode: the crane power supply adopts high-voltage cable reel power supply, and the cart uses traction line power supply.

6. Electrical protection: the power distribution system includes main circuit breaker, main power contact and over current protection device. Electrical protection devices include short-circuit protection, over-current protection, loss of voltage protection, zero protection, rise limit protection, travel limit protection, emergency power-off protection, electrical interlocking protection devices, overload load limiter, alarm, anemometer and lightning rod.

7. Platform and ladder: the main metal structural parts of the platform and ladder are connected by high-strength bolts. Attached steel structures include ladders, platforms and walkway railings. Ladders or platforms use grating or galvanized steel grids with a thickness of 3 mm.

8. Spreader: The spreader is determined according to the type of container to be lifted, and its structure should be designed for easy replacement. The hydraulic power station is located on the spreader.
