1. Classification of monorail cranes

1.2.1 Its main advantages: It is more environmentally friendly and energy-saving than diesel locomotives, has no exhaust gas pollution, and is easy to maintain.

1.2.2 Its main disadvantages:
a. The traction and climbing ability are not as good as those of diesel engine monorail crane.
b. The battery is charged in a special chamber and the charging time is long.
c. Lead-acid liquid may cause pollution to the environment.
d. The maximum applicable slope is 15 degrees. The maximum load capacity at a 15-degree slope is 23 tons.
e. The current battery monorail crane can only achieve 6 drives; the traction force of each drive is 20KN, and the maximum traction force is 120KN.

2. Structural characteristics of monorail crane

2.1 The basic configuration of a monorail crane consists of four parts: driver’s cab, drive unit, electro-hydraulic control vehicle, and power unit system.

2.2 The running track adopts German industrial DIN20593 standard I140E or I140V I-beam steel, which is flexibly fixed on the top of the tunnel by a chain. The locomotive’s running load-bearing wheels are stuck on both sides of the I-beam. There is no derailment or falling off the track, and the brakes stop It is realized by the brake spring clamping the track web. The action mode is failure braking, and the operation is safe and reliable.

3.Use of monorail crane

3.1 Equipped with 5T/8T/16T lifting beams, it can complete the transportation of support materials, belts, cables and small equipment; equipped with corresponding containers, it can complete the transportation of building materials and scattered spare parts; equipped with manned vehicles, it can complete the transportation of underground personnel; each section The vehicle can seat 10 people and can transport 30-50 people at a time; it is equipped with a special lifting beam to complete the transportation and transfer of large equipment such as hydraulic supports.
