The parts of bridge cranes that need lubrication and commonly used lubricants are described in the following sections.

1. Cart transmission part

① The transmission shaft hub is generally a rolling bearing, which is lubricated with No. 2 calcium-based grease or lithium-based grease, and cleaned and replaced regularly;

② The gear coupling is lubricated with No. 1 calendering grease and high-viscosity transmission mechanism oil;

③The gear reducer is filled with splash lubrication with No. 150 industrial gear oil, change the oil regularly, and replenish the oil in time;

④The motor bearings are lubricated with No. 2 calcium-sodium grease and cleaned and greased regularly;

⑤ Use No. 45 transformer oil for hydraulic brake.

2. The traveling part of the cart

①The wheel bearings are lubricated with No. 2 lithium-based grease, and the grease is changed regularly;

②The reducer is filled with splash lubrication with No. 150 industrial gear oil;

③ Lubricate open gears with open gear oil and add oil regularly.

3. Car transmission part

① Use No. 150 industrial gear oil for splash lubrication in vertical reducers; it is best to use anti-slip oil with crawling properties;

② The gear coupling is lubricated with No. 1 calendering grease and high-viscosity transmission mechanism oil;

③The motor bearings are lubricated with No. 2 calcium-based grease;

④ Use No. 45 transformer oil for hydraulic brake;

4. Car traveling part

Use No. 2 lithium grease for wheel bearings.

5. Hoisting part

① Use No. 150 industrial gear oil for the main roll and auxiliary roll reducers, and change and replenish the oil regularly;

② The drum bearing is lubricated with No. 2 lithium-based grease;

③The fixed pulley bearing is lubricated with No. 2 lithium-based grease;

④The moving pulley and hook bearing are lubricated with No. 2 lithium-based grease;

⑤The winch motor bearings are lubricated with No. 2 calcium-sodium base grease;

⑥ Apply open gear oil to the winch open gear and reapply it every 3 days;

⑦Brush the steel rope with steel rope oil, and re-coat it every 7 days if it is in continuous operation.

Bridge cranes, except for special cranes (ingot casting cranes, ingot removal cranes, handle cranes, clamp cranes, etc.), under normal circumstances, their environment and usage conditions are not very harsh. If a high-quality grease with good performance is used, the bearing can run for one maintenance cycle. When the maintenance cycle is reached, the bearings will be cleaned of oil and replaced with grease.
